How did you meet? How did you start dating?
We first met in Badminton Club in university. Josephine showed up at Roger’s house because she was friend’s with his roommate. They began going on “study dates” at the library and the rest is history.
What was the most romantic thing she did / he did?
Roger assumed Josephine had no artistic talent, but Josephine worked hard to surprise him with a scrapbook of all their adventures on their anniversary. The artistic talent was not seen again until the wedding.
How did he propose? Was he romantic?
He tried to propose multiple times including in Korea and Toronto. However, he found a nice place between Calgary and Banff where they went 9 years ago. He finally surprised me with an engagement ring. It wasn’t romantic, but it was quite funny.
What were the top three memorable moments on your wedding day?
Groom:
1 – Seeing Josephine walk down the aisle with her parents
2 – Having all of our family and friends in one place at one time and realizing what a once-in-a-lifetime moment it was
3 – Finding the perfect photo shoot location with the help of Yueko
Bride:
1 – Seeing Roger bubbling with excitement as I walked down the aisle
2 – The officiant asking Roger to talk towards me instead of the officiant and saying “you’re marrying her, not me”
3 – Eating McDonald’s in the limo
Where are you going for your honeymoon? Any special reason for going there?
We are going to the Philippines and Japan. The Philippines will be extra special since it is Josephine’s homeland.
What are the best wedding advice that you want to share with other couples?
Take time to really soak it all in and try to talk to as many people as you can. Your wedding will very likely be the only time in your life when all your family and best friends are all in one place at one time.
