How did you meet?
We met each other back in 2007 when I was working at Gold’s Gym but we never talked to each other other than saying Hi. I moved back to Calgary in 2013 and we ran into each other at Flames Central in February. Minh stopped me as I was about to walk pass him and said “Hey! Your the girl that use to work at Gold’s Gym?” Surprised that he remembered, he asked for my number and I gave it to him.
How did you start dating?
He was one persistent guy! I turned him down about 20 times as I wasn’t sure if I was ready for a relationship but I eventually gave in and gave him a chance and got to know him. I was pretty impress by his persistent, curious to why he wanted to get to know me. After our first date at Red Ember, we had an amazing time, we were both intrigue with one another. Since that day on, as how he would say it “She’s hooked!” I honestly and still to this day can’t get enough of him. We made it official on April 22, 2013.
What was the most romantic thing she did / he did?
To be honest, we can’t really pin point what was the most romantic thing we did for each other. Our relationship since day one has been nothing but amazing. The love we have for one another is beyond anything we could both ask for; a lot of people said our honeymoon stage will fade but 2 1/2 years in and our love is still strong and we are now moving into our next phase of our relationship.
How did he propose? Was he romantic?
August 23, 2014, My 29th Birthday Party was when he propose to me. He planned the whole shebang, from booking the restaurant, to cake, invites, and decorations. He was super busy running around all day long making sure everything was done and set up for in time for dinner at Hapa Izakaya. Surrounded by all my close friends that night as my birthday cake came out, right before I blew out the candles they made close my eye and made a wish, at that point Minh was down on one knee ready to pop the question. As I opened my eyes and blew out the candles, I turned over and saw him there on one knee, instantly the tears were streaming. It got loud real quick with all of our friends there and with me crying he lost concentration of what he really wanted to say but he was able to ask me “Baby, Will you take care of me for the rest of my life, will you marry me? Of course I said “YES.” And yes, what he did for me that night it was romantic it was what I would have wanted especially having all my closest friends by my side and my best friend who flew into town. I couldn’t have wish for anything better than what he did.
