December 2010 was when I met Ben. He came to my 20th birthday celebration with a mutual friend and we were introduced to each other by this friend. We danced and exchanged numbers that night. We instantly became friends and always kept in touch with each other.
August 2011, Ben and I decided to go to Globalfest firework festival as friends as we had never been before. Our friendship definitely evolved at the festival because sparks flew alongside with the fireworks. On that day we realized that we definitely wanted to be more than friends. A couple months later Ben officially asked me to be his girlfriend and it’s been four years since then.
What is the most romantic thing he’s done?
There’s so many things he’s done. However, I’d have to say the two that stands out the most for me is the proposal and when he booked a 6 hour spa day for me and I got pampered every minute of it.
What is the most romantic thing she’s done?
She threw an amazing surprise birthday party that included almost everyone I cared about the most.
How did he propose? Was he romantic?
Ben proposed to me while we were in New York. He told me he had booked a helicopter ride for us to get a tour of Manhattan. He was acting really weird that day because alongside with the helicopter ride, he had also booked a videographer to keep track of our every move. I thought it was a bit off but I didn’t think much of it as he explained that it was included in the package with the helicopter ride. After we got the tour of Manhattan, Ben said he would like to get off the helicopter first so he could help me out. After he helped me out, everything became a blur because next thing I knew, he was on one knee and there was a ring. In all honesty, I didn’t hear him ask the question “will you marry me?”, I just said yes when I saw the ring.
